Empire Falls is a pretty fantastic track. Great opening, wonderful vocals, and it just keeps your attention the whole time. Gallows Hymn begins and flows right after the ending of the last track. It’s a bit more somber song, pretty neat. As Rome Burns is a big song, it has a great buildup in the back half. Just well done, the atmosphere the band creates and the feelings expressed are great. Failures Burden is an okay song, it has nothing special going for it compared to the other tracks.

Heathen Tribes has a really great buildup, and the main riff is fantastic. The Rising Tide is a neat little interlude. Traitors Gate is the fastest song on here, and it gets some props for that. The black metal influence is much appreciated. No Nation On This Earth starts off with the coolest riff on the whole album. Cool song overall.

This whole album is fun, but for whatever reason it’s not one of my favorites. It’s not something I find myself wanting to listen to very often. Still a cool album and actually kind of unique for the genre.

Final Rating: 8/10
