Falling Down kicks off the album with a playful but downtrodden banjo, the band’s first hint at their evolving sound. The song is still justifiably Caddies, but it’s the little touches that set it apart, like the muted trumpet. Nobody Wins At The Laundromat is a pretty heavy song with a good chorus, but they’ve done better songs in this vein. Something’s Wrong At The Playground is so much fun and was my favorite Caddies song for a long time. Insightful lyrics, an upbeat atmosphere, you just can’t help but love it.

Destro is a fairly good song as well, nothing terribly special but I can’t really fault anything about it. S.O.S. is an ABBA cover, and the band actually plays it wonderfully. The buildup to the chorus works very well. ABBA songs seem to work well to being modified for other genres. This short EP was a great little blip in this band’s career, the only real disappointing thing about it is, well, its length. Love it.

Final Rating: 8.5/10
